The Scandinavian School  in SF

The Scandinavian School is a successful education and cultural center in San Francisco and Bay Area, where children and adults gather to experience Scandinavian languages, traditions and culture and build community together.

We offer Scandinavian cultural and language programs for children and adults. Our core program is a full-time preschool that serves children from ages two to five years old, as well as a 3-day rain and shine program for children 3 years and up. As many people know, growing up in Scandinavia is much different from growing up in the Bay Area. There are positive sides to both. Quality daycare and a relaxed attitude toward school give children in Scandinavia lots of time and room to just be kids, but San Francisco’s mix of cultures and traditions creates an understanding of diversity that cannot be taught in a classroom. The Scandinavian School strives to bring the best of both of these worlds together.

Kantine SF

Danish organic  food

We live in one of the greatest areas for cultural experiences and nothing is less important than the food we share from home.  With this an authentic  style brunch and lunch cafe  where you leave  with the taste of Scandinavia. Kantine is a danish word for work place "food court" . Many workplaces have a canteen – a place were hungry employees gather to share a hearty lunch and enjoy each other’s company.   When in SF , stop by the Danish restaurant Kantine  for organic , sustainable food.
